Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!† (Psalm 127:3-5, English Standard Version) Foundation for Discipline Parenting children can be a joy and a challenge. Parenting is not for wimps. Most parents desire to raise their children as a productive member of our society. In able to successfully do this, parents that identify themselves as believers need to study the bible and determine how to biblically discipline. The bible needs to be their foundation. There are several verses throughout scripture that discuss discipline. â€Å"Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him. â€Å"(Proverb 13:24, English Standard Version) â€Å"Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him.† (Proverb 22:15, English Standard Version) â€Å"Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die.† (Proverb 23:13, English Standard Version) Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart.
